Administration/Planning
The current regional health care system is inefficient due to uneven
distribution of services. This includes a shortage of primary care providers.
Service gaps result in inefficient patient care and service duplication, which
causes waste and increased health care costs.
Collaborative regional planning is a way to solve these problems to better
serve patients. CHOICE is a neutral convener for collaborative planning to
improve the health care system. CHOICE members work on joint activities to
improve access to and coordination of high quality services, reduce costs and
develop successful strategies to improve the health of the region.
Over the next two years we will continue to:
- Document and communicate the current problems with the health care system
from a provider and patient perspective.
- Design a 100% Access Demonstration Project
- Coordinate and write grant proposals to maximize federal, state and
private investments to our region
- Continually evaluate the impact of our activities and share the results
with others
