Eligibility
Medical Criteria:
Clients must have a medical referral to be considered for enrollment. Referrals are accepted from any source that provides medical services to the uninsured or underinsured, and must state an urgent, acute medical condition that may require treatment by a specialist. Project Access does not accept referrals that request primary care or routine preventive screenings only, nor referrals for the treatment of chronic conditions, unless an acute complication is present or likely to occur if the condition is left untreated.
General Criteria
- Following the current WA Basic Health Insurance guidlines, a client must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
- Clients must be either uninsured or underinsured, meaning they have insurance but it does not cover the care they need.
- Clients are encouraged to apply for Basic Health and /or Medicaid.
- Clients must be 18-64 years of age (64+ and ineligible for Medicaid/Medicare), and provide a mailing address and phone number so that we may contact them.
- Clients must provide documentation of their Thurston County residency (lease, utility bill, etc.) and photo identification (TCPA will make exceptions to the residency documentation requirement on a case-by-case basis for homeless clients).
